Santa's Pets is one of the paid Village stops we would repeat. Meeting animals at close range was a better fit for what we wanted than the short reindeer ride we also bought. Our family visit cost €45 on 27 November 2025.
We saw reindeer, alpacas and other animals. We could touch reindeer, and suitable animal food was available to buy. For a child interested in animals, that gives the stop a different purpose from sitting in a sleigh for a photograph.
What we did during the visit
Our photographs show a close interaction with a reindeer and a white reindeer in the enclosure. The attraction gave us time around the animals without making the ride itself the centre of the purchase.
Follow the staff's instructions about which animals can be touched or fed, and use the food intended for them. A friendly encounter is a reason we enjoyed our visit; it is not enough on its own to assess the care of every animal at the attraction.
The €45 was the total for our family visit. It should not be divided into adult and child ticket prices or used as a current quote. Our trip budget shows how that purchase fitted alongside accommodation, rides and meals.
A normal visit or a guided animal walk?
We made a normal visit. Santa's Pets also sells guided walks and private experiences, which are separate products. Its current visitor FAQ says ordinary visits do not need advance booking, while animal walks and private visits do.
The same FAQ currently sets a minimum age of ten for the reindeer walk and points families with younger children towards a standard visit. Check the rules for the exact activity you are considering; the ability to meet reindeer inside the attraction does not mean a child can join every excursion.
The real-antler souvenirs
We did not expect to find real reindeer antlers for sale. Small pieces started at about €10 during our visit, while larger antlers reached three figures. The one in our photograph was marked €110.
Those are November 2025 observations. If you want to buy one, check your airline's baggage rules and the animal-product rules at your destination before paying.
Would we choose it over a short reindeer ride?
For our family, yes. The short sleigh ride cost €135 and was over in about ten minutes. Santa's Pets cost less and gave us the kind of close animal encounter we wanted to repeat.
A farm visit with a herder or a longer forest ride would be a different choice again. Our reindeer comparison helps separate those options. Santa's Pets makes sense as an animal stop during a Village day; we would not buy it expecting a full reindeer safari.
