Santa Claus Main Post Office was an easy stop to add while walking around the Village. We went inside and looked around without buying or sending anything. It felt somewhat crowded, with plenty of visitors writing or sending postcards, but we could still move around without much difficulty.
Our visit was during the 25–29 November 2025 stay. We would include it in a Village morning, leaving more time if sending cards is something you want to do.
Looking around or sending a postcard
We did not pay to look around. If you want a souvenir you can post home, the point of doing it here is the Arctic Circle postmark. Posti's official Main Post Office page identifies it as a postmark available at the Arctic Circle.
Bring the full addresses of the people you want to write to, and ask the counter about postage and the mailing option for your destination. We did not send anything, so we cannot report a delivery time from our trip. Use current postal information if arrival by a particular date matters.
It is separate from the Santa meeting
The Main Post Office and Santa Claus Office are different stops. Going into the post office does not put you in the queue to meet Santa. Our Santa Claus Office review covers that meeting, the time it took and the optional photographs.
This distinction helps when planning a morning: the post office was a flexible stop for us, while the Santa meeting took 74 minutes from joining the line to leaving. I would avoid assigning both the same allowance just because they are in the same Village.
Opening hours and location
Posti lists the address as Tähtikuja 1, 96930 Arctic Circle, Finland, and publishes seasonal hours on its visitor page. Check those before an early or late visit. The outdoor Village remains a place to walk even when a particular business is closed, but that does not help if you have cards to send.
