If choosing only one on a first Rovaniemi trip, we would pick Santa Claus Village. We returned every day. SantaPark was an enjoyable extra, especially with a five-year-old and a few hours to spend indoors.
We visited both in late November 2025. The distinction is the kind of day you want: an outdoor collection of separate businesses, or an indoor programme covered largely by one ticket.

Choose the Village for a flexible day
Walking around, the Main Post Office and the standard Santa Claus Office meeting did not require an entry ticket on our visit. Paid extras quickly added up, however: photographs, gifts, animal visits and rides were separate decisions.

Choose SantaPark for an indoor half-day
Elf School, the acrobatic show, Magic Train and crafts held our child's attention for about three hours. Our family admission cost €178 in November 2025. Seats, toilets and moving between activities without dressing for the cold made it easy for us.

If you want to do both
Give them separate blocks rather than fitting both into one morning. We skipped the Santa meeting inside SantaPark after meeting him at the Village. Families who want only one meeting can compare photo rules and total costs in our Santa Claus Office review.
